Cross-border areas are necessary nodes of globalisation and are central to the governance of transnational resources. We inform policy-making and promote regional integration by applying spatial analyses and developing cross-border co-operation. DSDG performs a key position in the evaluation of UN systemwide implementation of the 2030 Agenda and on advocacy and outreach activities referring to the SDGs. In order to make the 2030 Agenda a reality, broad possession of the SDGs should translate into a robust commitment by all stakeholders to implement the global goals. The Rio +20 consequence also contained other measures for implementing sustainable development, including mandates for future programmes of labor in development financing, small island creating states and extra.
